Hall Students Build Their Own Guitars
Hall High School precalculus students, Abney Bernardini and Drew Lechner, recently built their own electric guitars and received 2 college credits though IVCC's Taste of Engineering Careers class. This class was intended for area high school students enrolled in upper level math and science. Abney and Drew were required to fill out applications whereupon IVCC chose 10 applicants who showed potential to participate in the program. The class met on the IVCC campus for 7 consecutive Saturdays. They were taught by an instructor from IVCC, a professor from Purdue University, and a guitar maker. Abney and Drew are now the proud owners of these custom/handmade electric guitars. This is the first year Hall students have participated in the program.
Kudos to Abney, Drew and the Hall High School math department!
