Bonjour, tour le monde! Hello, everyone!
The Hall High School French Club is ready for another active year. Under the leadership of co-presidents Marissa Bland and Ashley Gillan, secretary Roasrio Madrigal, and treasurer Hilda Avila, there are many plans for activities throughout the year.
First, a field trip to Illinois State University is planned for October 23. Sixty-eight French students will attend this event. Five popular short stories will be performed at Braden Auditorium. One of the plays is "The Necklace" which was written by a famous French author, Guy de Maupassant.
Next, the annual French cooking day is an opportunity for students to sample, crepes, foundue, and various desserts. The chocolate candy bar fundraiser is planned for January, and the foreign language fair is scheduled for Thursday, March 6th.
A trip to Europe is set for Easter, 2009. Seventeen French students and eight parents will spend right days traveling through Paris and Rome.
