Kindle Book Readers in Freshman English

Students in Mrs. Teresa Colmone's English I class are enjoying the use of kindles.  Over 80 kindles were donated to Hall High School by the Hall Education Foundation.  These will be used in the school-wide campaign to increase literacy.  Books will be selected by Hall faculty members and downloaded at school.  Students will be able to use them at school and will be able to check them out to take home.  In this class, students read a short story that is part of an anthology of American short stories, which is currently downloaded on the kindles.  Students then researched the history and location of the events in the story.
