Meet the New Hall High School Principal on July 15th

Public Invited to Reception Prior to July 15th Board of Education Meeting

The Hall High School Board of Education will hold a reception prior to the July 15th board meeting to welcome Tony Valente, the new principal of Hall High School.  The public is invited to meet Tony and partake in cookies and punch. The reception will begin at 6:15 pm and end at 6:45 pm.

Mr. Valente will join Hall High School as the new Principal beginning July 1, 2009. Tony comes to Hall from Kaneland High School where he served as Principal for two years and Assistant Principal for one year. Before his time at Kaneland, Tony was an Assistant Principal and Dean of Students in the West Aurora School District #129 for five years and was a History Teacher at Proviso East High School District #209 for six years.

Tony grew up in the Chicagoland area graduating from West Leyden High School in 1987. He attended Triton College and Northern Illinois University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993. He went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University in 1998. Presently, he is a doctoral student at Northern Illinois University. Tony and his wife, Annette, have been married for 16 years and they have three children Paige (13), Emily (9) and Dominic (8). 

Hall superintendent Mike Struna said, “We are excited to welcome Tony aboard and we look forward to what he will bring to Hall High School. We believe that his extensive experience as both a high school teacher and a high school administrator makes him a very good choice to be our principal.”
