Junior class officers will meet Friday after school in Mrs. Kosak’s room.

 

Attention all National Honor Society Candidates:  Information forms are due next Tuesday, March 16.  If you did not receive a National Honor Society form, please check with Mrs. Fulara in the library. 

 

All Honor Roll Breakfast RSVP’s must be turned in to Mrs. Lock in the Principal’s office by TODAY or you will not be recognized and cannot attend.

 

Students ushering for Godspell today and tomorrow are to meet in the auditorium lobby no later than 6:30pm.  Please dress appropriately – no jeans or t-shirts.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Fulara.

 

The library will be closed on Friday, March 12, 2010.  Teachers, please do not send any students to the library.

 

The Spring Valley LEO Club will meet on Monday after school in the library.  All members are asked to be present or contact Mrs. Fulara.

 

Attention Students:  The annual CASH WAR begins Monday.  This is the LEO Club’s annual fundraiser.  All money collected this year will be given to Lexi Lijewski and her family to help defray Lexi’s medical costs.  The homeroom that collects the most money from March 15 thru March 26 will be treated to a pizza and ice cream party after Spring Break.  The goal is to raise at least $2000.00.  Please participate and help out one of our own students.

 

Devilette 2010 Tryout Practices:

Tuesday, March 16: 6-8p.m. in the cafeteria

Thursday, March 18: 6-8p.m. in the cafeteria

Tryouts will be Friday, March 19: 6:00p.m. to ???

Seniors: The Herff Jones rep will be here on TODAY to hand out graduation invitations during your lunch hour.

 

Please be advised that the captain’s picture has been changed from 2nd hour to the end of 3rd hour on TODAY.

 

Attention all homeroom teachers:  Cash Wars begins next Monday.  Benefits this year will go to Lexi Lijewski and her family.

Students, as spring arrives, please be aware of the school dress code.  No pajama pants are to be worn at school.  Short shorts and shirts that are cut too low will not be allowed.  Shirts must cover the mid section and tops with straps must have straps that are one inch or more wide. This is to the discretion of the teachers and administrators, so please be aware that you will be asked to change clothes if needed.

Also, as the warmer air hits Spring Valley, please refrain from leaving school early, skipping class, or leaving for lunch.

Junior, Natahsa Jensen, was selected to play her trumpet in the NCIC Honor Band at this year’s festival.  The all day music festival is on Tuesday, March 23 at IVC in Chillicothe with a concert featuring the Honor Band & Honor Chorus culminating the event at 7pm.

 

Boys Track:  there will be a meeting in room #116 today after school.  Get changed first and then come to the meeting.

Attention all students; there is going to be a Christian prayer group taking place on Tuesday, March 9, from 7:00 to 7:30am in Miss Larson’s room #354.  If you would like to participate, have any questions, or have any ideas for the club, please talk with fellow student, Silas Kleinau.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Drive it Right!!! Safe Driving week.  Remember that you, as a teenager, determine how you will or will not drive.  Don’t be distracted by loud music, texting or phone calls.
