Special Meeting, May 6, 2008

 

Began Meeting: 6:00 p.m. Ended meeting- 8:11 pm

Members Present: John Andes, Jack Boroski, Todd Fanning,
Holly Flanagan, Sue Nolasco, Dale Pienta.
Members Absent: Betsy Sobin

Public Hearing-

The Board opened the hearing at 6:09 pm for the purpose of hearing public input in regards to the board’s intent to sell $300,000 of school fire prevention bonds and $400,000 of working cash bonds. No public input was heard. The hearing was closed at 6:14 pm, motion to close the hearing by Mrs. Flanagan, seconded by Mrs. Nolasco. Voice vote- all aye.

Action Items-
The board approved May 16, 2009 as the graduation date for the class of 2009. Motion by Mr. Pienta, seconded by Mrs. Nolasco. Voice vote-all aye.

Closed Session-
The board went into closed session at 6:18 pm to discuss ongoing litigation and the appointment, employment and dismissal of employees. Motion by Mr. Pienta, seconded by Mrs. Nolasco. Voice vote- all aye.

The Board exited closed session at 8:05 pm.

Action Items as a Result of Closed Session-

The board accepted the resignation, with regret, of Rhonda Thomas, special education teacher. Motion by Mr. Boroski, seconded by Mrs. Flanagan. Voice vote- all aye.

The board accepted the resignation, with regret, of Janet Nagle as pep club sponsor. Motion by Mr. Pienta, seconded by Mrs. Flanagan. Voice vote- all aye.

The board approved the employment of Danielle Larson as math teacher. Motion made by Mr. Pienta, seconded by Mrs. Flanagan. Voice vote- all aye.

Motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:11 pm, by Mr. Andes, seconded by Mrs. Flanagan. Voice vote- all aye.
