What a curtain call for Hall seniors

First came a 3-pointer by Hall’s Amanda Croisant. Forty seconds later, Emily Kraemer dropped in a 2-point basket for the Lady Devils. Then, last and certainly not least, center Jen Andes split a pair of free throws to put Hall ahead early in its game against Putnam County on Thursday night.
Just like that, all three seniors on the Lady Devils’ basketball squad found a way into the scoring column on a night dedicated to them. A night that saw Hall cruise to a 65-41 non-conference victory over the Lady Panthers in Red Devil Gymnasium in Spring Valley.

In the end, Andes was the last of the trio to exit her home hardwood for the final time, and as she walked off the court she walked into a hug from head coach Pat Cinotte after Andes dropped 25 points and 11 rebounds in her Spring Valley curtain call. Andes has piled up more than 1,000 career points and is second on Hall’s all-time scoring list, so Thursday was a night to remember in her Lady Devil career. “It hasn’t really hit yet,” Andes said of her final game in Spring Valley. “Once I got off the court, I was definitely going to miss playing here. You don’t get much better than this court.”
