Board Meeting Summary-September

The Hall High School Board of Education met for their regular September meeting on September 19, 2007. Here is a summary of the meeting:
- The Board discussed the FY08 Budget.
- The Board reviewed the results of the board self-evaluation survey.
- The Board reviewed the District Improvement Goals adopted in December of 2005.
- The Board discussed the merits of implementing a parent/community input survey.
- The Board reviewed the contract extension proposal from First Student Transportation.
- The Board heard reports from Principal Lunn and Athletic Director Vicini in regards to Homecoming activities,the guidance department comprehensive report, the soccer program, the mutliple sport participation policy and school safety.
Action taken included:
- The Board adopted the FY08 Budget.
- The Board adopted two Board Improvement Goals for 2007-2008.
- The Board approved the implementation of a parent/community input survey.
- The Board did not act on the First Student contract extension.
- The Board accepted, with regrets, the retirement notification of Jean Kozak (effective the end of the 2011-2012 school year)
