New IVCC On-Line component

The orientation for new students now includes an on-line component of which students must complete in order to ge their appointment to meet with a counselor and register for classes. The first segment must be completed on the student's own time via the internet.
Beginning March 1, 2007, they will be able to access the online orientation at www.ivcc.edu/counseling/nso (also linked on the home page) They need to have a placement testing exam scheduled and need to be sure they have their counseling date AFTER their placement testing date.
Once the student completes the orientation, they will be prompted to choose a date for the counseling appointment. If a student elects not to attend a Campus New Student Orientation, individual appointments will not be available until June 1.
