Welcome to Hall High School/Registration Process

by Theresa Bernabei

December 13, 2006

Welcome to Hall High School! If your son/daughter is transferring to Hall High School there are a few procedures to follow that will make the registration go smoothly. We require a parent/guardian to be present throughout this registration procedure.

Contact the Hall High School Guidance Dept. for a registration appointment (see phone numbers below).

Bring the following information to your registration appointment:

1. class schedule from your previous school

2. most recent report card from your previous school

3. unofficial transcripts from your previous school

4. completed Certificate of Health - this includes immunization and recent physical information (required for freshman entering high school for the first time and all students planning to participate in athletics)

When you arrive at Hall High School for your appointment:

1. See Ms. Evelhoch, the Superintendent's secretary, to pick up a copy of the Student Information form and the Student Ethnicity Survey (required by the state), and pay any required registration and athletic fees (athletic fees are $50 per student per sport not to exceed $100 per student and $200 per family).

2. See Mrs. Lock, the Principal's secretary, to get a locker, student/parent handbook, school calendar, student organizer/pass book, activities calendar, athletic calendar, and buy a P.E. lock ($5.00 paid to Mrs. Lock).

3. Go to the guidance office to see a counselor and get your class schedule.

While in the guidance office:

1. Sign a copy of the Student Records Request form so that we can forward it to your child's former school to obtain official records, including test results, transcripts and medical records.

2. Give the counselor a copy of your class schedule, last report card and an unofficial transcript from your previous school and your completed Student Information form, Student Ethnicity Survey, and Certificate of Health (required for new freshman and athletes).

3. Please inform the counselor if your child has an I.E.P. and/or requires special assistance of any kind. This may require an additional meeting with Mrs. Kathy Martin, the Special Education Coordinator.

If all information is in order your child may be able to start school that day.

If you have any questions about this procedure please call 815-664-4500 or 815-664-2100.
